Which tax software is the cheapest for state tax return form?

Hi all,

I live in California. I am urgently looking for the cheapest state tax return online form or software? Are there any free software/webservice around? Please recommend some good ones. (I did the federal tax by myself…)

    Go to your state website and see if they allow you to file for free from there – most states do. For CA see http://www.ftb.ca.gov/online/index.html

    Check this out for free filing also if you go to the state web site some states have free filing if your income is under a certain amount.
