How can I see if there are back taxes or contractor lein on a property?
I am looking to buy a house in Washington county PA, I need to find out if there are back taxes or a contractor lein on the property. I have googles for the past 2 hours and cannot find a place online to find this information. The courthouse is 45 min away and I am a single dad with a 7 month old son so it’s pretty hard to find the time to get down there. Any help is much appreciated.

call county tax assessor to see if they offer that info online. if not then get in car.
delinquent taxes are almost always posted somewhere at the county or township website.
when you buy a property like that the title company will make sure those liens and taxes are paid by the seller at closing. otherwise the sale will not go thru.

Any title company can look this up for you in minutes.

Check your county assessor’s website. Possibly your county registrar’s site – usually this is done at the county level but, every county and every state are different.
Perhaps the best starting point would be to find out where deeds are filed in your county and call their office for guidance.
If you can afford a little bit of money – title attorneys check all this stuff out before closing. If you want to find it out before hand you could hire your own.

Recorder does not have an online site in WASHPA with records available
Neither does the assessor.
Either have to go there or hire a title search
