  1. Ms. Angel.. Says:

When everyone that has filed their tax return stop calling or checking every minute.
You know when you filed your tax return, and you knew or have an idea when you will be receiving, so leave it at that. You will get the refund but it does take 8-15 day to process returns,FYI: and if you have not filed all your tax returns from 2002 through 2007 you won’t be getting 2008 refund. IRS will hold the 2008 refund until all tax returns you have not filed are filed and processed, processing of prior tax returns take 6-12 weeks.
(I don’t mean “you” but people in general.)

  2. From my understanding they do not have glitches in the computer, the recovery rebate is the problem, if you had a dollar amount in that box then that would cause the date to change….I only found this out after I called them… I believe the only reason people are calling is because the days keep changing from day to day and no one can give an answer…Because that is why I called…If they would release a statement letting people know whats going on then I am sure they would see the call volume decrease….

  3. The IRS should release a statement letting taxpayers know IFthere is a computer glitch as the media is saying…I have called the IRS because I want to ensure my return is correct and processing as normal. They changed my expected refund date 3 times. I E-filed on Jan 19th. My “expected” refund date is now 2/24!!! That is a month!! I’ve never had to wait that long. I suspect there is a problem or the IRS is knowingly delaying our tax refunds…BTW, I do not have any debts to offset my return, and almost everyone I spoke to is in my same situation, we all want to know why our refunds are being delayed!!
