i have a small construction co. and would like to learn how to keep my taxes in order

You must keep you income and expenses pertaining to the business in an orderly
manner – you must learn how to record these expenses and income so that you
can compute a net income from your construction operations -
You would be much better off if you kept the above information then have a
reputable bookkeeping service record your transactions for you – in the proper
manner – it is not that easy just to say “I want to learn” but doing it correctly
does matter a great deal. Tax laws are so complex and having someone to
do this for you and do it correctly will save you a lot of money in the long run
If you want to learn in the mean time – check with your local Federal Small
Business and they can help you learn and understand how to do your
bookkeeping – so many small business pay too much tax because they
are totally unaware of the deductions available to them -also a local
Community College course will help you learn how to do this.
