I am confused, i just registered FAFSA for a gaint, but the only thing I don’t got when my mother trying to find out is Federal Tax Withheld are the same as US Income Tax Paid? Please help?

Do you pay income tax on any employer provided health care premiums?

I just found out that my significant other pays income tax on the health insurance premiums that her employer pays for me. Do other people pay income tax on health insurance paid by their employer? I just studied federal tax law, and the code says that employer paid premiums are NOT income, but I think there must be some exception here since we’re not married. I’m wondering if the IRS also requires people to recognize employer paid insurance premiums on, say, foster kids or other unrelated family members… people who aren’t related by blood or marriage.

In the 2nd tax bracket ~60 000, does the income tax in Quebec vs. Ontario make living there not at all worth it for a single individual?
