Best answer:

Answer by Joey K
Get Turbo Tax, and don’t worry- it will ask about foreign income, it’s all in there. I recommend getting the best version of Turbo Tax for your situation- tax software is not the place you want to save money.

I have an online penny auction ecommerce business, and I need to know which software would be best to keep track of personal and business expenses that could do my taxes at the end of the year. My business is S corp and we’re incorporated. I have 5 employees and run the company out of my guest house.

Best answer:

Answer by dcdogg
I used Quickbooks to run a Temporary Agency for five years. It did all of my accounting, payroll, inventory and gave great reports to give to my accountant. You can find information at www.intuit.com about the program.

Additionally, there is an article in PC Magazine that shows several, you can read that and make a choice from there.

My personal choice is Quickbooks Pro.

Making use of income tax preparation software is an easy and inexpensive way to preparing and filing tax returns. Instead of doing your taxes yourself or having to hire an accountant or a tax specialist, you can use a top-rated and proven program to file both your personal and business taxes on your own.

It is rather difficult to keep up with the many changes in tax rules, regulations and laws. Each year there are new deductions you can take advantage of and if you miss out on them you will not be getting all the tax breaks you are eligible for. Any good professional tax preparation software program will see to it that you get those deductions you are eligible for so that your refund check is plump and healthy. This software will also save you from having to owe taxes which is everyone’s worst nightmare.

A typical tax preparation software program will allow you to file your taxes online.

This e-filing option is quick and highly convenient. You do not have to worry about making errors when filling out returns by hand nor you do not have to hassle with remembering to mail your return in on time. If you were to do your taxes the old fashioned way by hand, you will most likely have to wait a long time in order to receive your refund. But by using tax software, you will get your refund faster.

While anyone can be audited by the IRS, using a good income tax preparation software program will reduce the chances of you getting an audit. This is because tax preparation software programs check for errors and if your return is clean and error-free, the chances are it will pass right through and not be put into the ‘audit’ group of returns.

The best software will even offer you a guarantee if any calculation errors are made so be sure to look for this when shopping for professional tax preparation software.

If you have ever done your taxes yourself you know that it can be very difficult to receive answers about your tax questions. The top-rated tax software will show you some of the most commonly asked questions and answers so you do not get stuck. For example, if you are wondering what deductions you can take for business-related travel, the good software programs will explain the current laws related to travel mileage. There are also help features included in most tax preparation software programs which can come in very handy when figuring your taxes.
Another benefit to using tax software is the fact that the software stores your taxes right on your computer using a protected server. This allows you to access your taxes at any time and from anywhere as long as you are connected to the internet. It also means that you do not need to keep large files of papers laying around.

Most income tax preparation software programs will take the information from your federal return to your state return. This is not an option when you do your taxes by hand as you are required to write the information in by twice. This also means that no costly errors will be made and it also tends to cut the preparation time in half.

As you can see there are many benefits associated with using a good professional tax preparation software program. It makes good common sense to invest in this type of software as it is by far the best way there is to file both your personal and business taxes.
